London Cemetery

We inflict upon nature even in a place of death. Humanity can't resist leaving a footprint even in spaces which aren't inhabited.
I was drawn to this cemetery on many walks and documented it by taking several photographs. Somewhere, I was trying to capture the nostalgia marked by many memories left by people not known to me.
In this series I impose my own presence, sometimes by adding a touch of colour, a scrap of fabric, a tangle of thread. Reinforcing the notion that I couldn't keep away from adding my own marks to an otherwise quiet place.
Each piece is 9.5 inches square.
